CHANTECAILLE Lip Chic in Geranium

I love Millie Macintosh from Made in Chelsea; she always looks absolutely flawless and so when I saw a make-up tutorial with Millie and Tanya Burr I was super interested to find out how she achieves her staple, natural yet polished, daytime make up look.

One of the products jumped out at me straight away - the Chantecaille Lipchic in geranium so off I went to Space NK and forked out a whopping £30 after a quick swatch – I knew immediately I would love this lipstick/gloss hybrid and sure enough this now has to be one of my most reached for lipsticks.

The formula is reminiscent of YSL Volupte Sheer Candy or the more affordable L’oreal Rouge Caresse (although slightly more sheer) in that it combines the shine and plumping effect of a lip-gloss with the slightly heavier, smoother coverage of a lipstick. It feels incredibly moisturising and buttery on the lips and doesn’t have any stickiness to the consistency; it feels light and silky.

Lip chic is Paraben-free and has added collagen to firm and plump up the lips. It is a really luxurious product to use from the texture to the lovely light vanilla scent to the sleek chrome effect packaging.  The colour range is stunning with a good range or colours from muted neutrals like Amour and Sari Rose through to brighter hues such as the stunning Ameryllis (this is currently very high on my wishlist!) but they are all equally wearable. The shade i picked up on Millie's recommendation, Geranium, is a beautiful soft peachy orange that is so easy to wear and looks fantastic on pale and tanned skin alike.

The formulation of Lipchic is really flattering and would be suitable for all age ranges; the more mature woman who struggles with heavier lipstick formulations bleeding into fine lines might find this lighter consistency is much easier to wear and gives a youthful look to the face so if anyone is struggling for a Christmas present for Mum/Gran/Auntie or in fact any female relative or friend, I don’t think you can go far wrong with these!

They are available in Space NK and Large department stores that stock Chantecaille, or online for £30.

Have you tried the Lipchic from Chantecaille? Which shades do you think I should try next?
