Valentines Day gift ideas part 1

Roses are red, violets are blue,
if you're stuck for ideas, I've got some for you!

Firstly I’m going to say this post is directed at those of us who celebrate Valentine’s Day, i know not everyone does so if this is of no interest to you – feel free to ignore it!

While i acknowledge that it is just a so called 'hallmark holiday', i am not one to turn down any opportunity to celebrate how lucky my husband and i are to have each other. I love Valentine’s day and make no apologies for it!
This year we have decided to stay in and cook something really nice (with the help of Jamie Oliver!) to avoid the crowds and the awkward first dates. I always tell him not to bother buying me flowers because they are marked up ridiculously and never seem to last very long, but we do exchange presents (any excuse!).

Sometimes its hard to know what to buy so soon after Christmas so i have been wracking my brains for gift ideas and decided to share a few with you. Some are from previous years (which he loved) and some are ideas for this year.

Beats by Dre | Jo Malone Oud & Bergamot Cologne Intense | Iphone case

Beats by Dre Headphones £119.50 from . Jim lists these as the best present i ever got him which is quite a statement! They are really expensive for earphones but the sound quality is unbelievable. If your Beau is into music these are a fail safe option. I love the red anti-tangle cable.

Jo Malone Oud & Bergamot Colone Intense £95 for 100ml from All Jo Malone fragrances are unisex but the colone intense (in the black bottles) are particularly suited to men. This one is Jim's favourite and it smells amazing on him.

Retro Cassette Tape Iphone Cover £1.19 from If you are on a tight budget this is a fab option, My Husband, my Brother and my male friends all said the same thing about this: "that's so cool!"

Ted Baker Wallet | Spotify Premium Subscription | Casio Watch

Ted Baker Wallet £44.99 from I think a wallet is a great present for a guy as its something they use everyday. This one by Ted Baker caught my eye. I like the colour inside to liven it up a bit.

Spotify premium subscription £9.99 per month from This is another great option for the music lovers. Having spotify premium means he can access and stream millions of tracks from his phone, tablet or PC without having to download them.

Casio watch £30 from Retro-style watches seem to be all the rage at the moment, i think they're quite quirky but the coloured ones are a bit hit and miss. I like this silver one from Casio and i think its a total bargain for £30!

I have also done a little bit of a wish list for myself which might be my next blog post so if you are buying for a woman and you need inspiration  or you want to give your other half some inspiration let me know!  I hope some of you find this helpful and that you all have a lovely Valentines Day!
