One year on... Our anniversary holiday to Ibiza

Hi everyone, i'm so sorry things have been so quiet on my blog for the last few weeks! Jim and I have had a lot of stuff going on and are in the middle of packing to move house at the end of the month so i have just not had the time to sit at my computer. I'm hoping this will change after the next couple of mad weeks and i can
get back to writing because i have a pile of stuff i want to tell you about!

In the meantime i thought i'd tell you about a recent holiday we escaped on to celebrate out first wedding anniversary and 7 great years together. We booked a pretty last minute get away to Ibiza and stayed for a week in the lovely little resort of Es Cana.

One of our favourite things to do when we go abroad is to hire a car and get out and about to discover a new place and get a feel for what its all about, so we did a mix of this and lazy days lying in the sun reading our books and swimming in the sea - bliss!

I had never been to Ibiza before and i have to say its definitely not just the party island it has a reputation as being. Its really pretty and, especially in the north of the Island it has a very relaxed vibe so i wouldn't be put off if you're not the kind of person who is excited by expensive bars and superclubs.

A bar near our hotel had this pool that you could use if you were eating or drinking there.
I was seriously impressed with some of the beaches. Crystal clear turquoise water is so inviting!
It wouldn't be Spain without a few gecko sightings!

The very famous Hippy Market is well worth a visit, i forgot my camera but went back the next day, on market day (Wednesday) it is very busy!

  4. I love Ibiza so much! I'll be honest, when I went their for the first time a few years ago it was definitely the night life that attracted me to the country. But since going there every year since, I have been less about the clubs (which don't get me wrong, I still love, I'm just not as young as I used to be lol) and more about everything else the Island has to offer! I recently got back from my most recent trip there and this time did a parasail at sunset, which was incredible, but I'll be honest, rather nerve wracking! I'll be posting a write up on my blog soon :-)

Glad you had a great time and congrats on your anniversary!

    Ash :-)
