Bourjois Java Rice Loose Powder Review

I'm all about the luminizing, brightening face powders at the moment and the latest to catch my eye is the Bourjois Java Rice Loose Powder. The first product Bourjois ever produced back in 1863 has been reformulated and relaunched as a soft pink illuminating powder that gives skin a radiant, glowing look. I
thought it might be a touch glittery but it isn't at all, the finely milled powder is the perfect texture to allow a light dusting which creates that lit-from-within glow. The twist open mechanism inside the packaging makes the loose powder much easier to control which is great added touch because who doesn't hate spilling loads of product every time you use a loose powder product?!
I have a lot of redness in my cheeks and i sometimes find that using high coverage products leaves me with quite a flat complexion but a light dusting of this really brightens my face in the same way as mixing a liquid product such as MAC Strobe Cream with a foundation does.
The thing i really love about this product is the soft focus look it gives your skin, it reminds me of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders which create the effect of standing in a flattering light and it really blurs out imperfections, pores and fine lines. I'm seriously impressed with this product, once again Bourjois raise the game and close the gap between the quality of high street and high end products.
If you fancy giving this a try you get pick it up for £9.99 from Boots.

    1. Its well worth a swatch! although it comes off a lot more glittery when you swatch it than it does when lightly dusted on the skin :) xx

  6. I've just discovered your blog today and I love it! I have this Bourjois powder - the only reason I got it was because of all the blogger hype! It still don't quite understand what exactly it's meant to be used for, but I really like it!
