Under the Spotlight - Aurelia Probiotic Skincare

The new probiotic skincare range from UK based company Aurelia is beginning to cause a bit of a stir in the beauty world and i can completely understand why. This is luxury skincare with a conscience at its finest.
Free from mineral oils, synthetic fragrances, silicones, sulphates and anything else that isn't great for your skin, and never tested on animals, this range is completely guilt free but unlike some other ethical 'free from' brands it also hits the nail on the head when it comes to appearances.
The packaging of the range is absolutely perfect in my opinion, the weighty brown glass and pale pink and gold labelling is very classy, even the sample products come in coordinating packaging which I thought was a lovely touch! When it comes to skincare the priority has to be the ingredients but I am not going to lie, I do enjoy a product more when it looks expensive and luxurious, especially if you are paying a premium brand price point, and Aurelia have nailed it by combining luxury, nature and science in equal measures.
Brand founder Claire Vero ensures that the science behind Aurelia Probiotic skincare offers women the best age prevention technology by managing the level of inflammation in the skin - the main cause of skin ageing. The next-generation probiotic repair and peptide technology supports the skins natural repair processes, boosts collagen and hyaluronic acid levels and improves the skins resilience to negative influences such as sun exposure, consequently counteracting premature ageing.
The science behind the range is fascinating and the website is packed full of really interesting information that is presented in an easy to understand format so if you are a bit of a science geek like me head of to www.aureliaskincare.com with a cup of tea for a good read!
All of the products are formulated with 100% Bio-organic botanicals and fragranced with essential oils and it is evident that a lot of care and attention has been invested into the blends and textures of each product because they smell and feel incredible.
I have been trying a few products from the range including the Revitalise & Glow Serum* (£47) which is a lightweight serum that is beautifully fragranced with jasmine, tuberose and mandarin. It absorbs into the skin almost immediately and gives an injection of moisture. I think this would be a perfect accompaniment on a long haul flight to help prevent dehydrationa and to refresh the skin.
The Cell Repair Night Oil* (£45) provides intensive age prevention by working in tandem with the skins overnight repair system. This has a lovely floral scent from the Lavender, Neroli, Rose and Mandarin, and it provides a boost of hydration to lack lustre skin, promoting a luminous, radiant glow.
The Cell Revitalise Night Moisturiser* (£42) is a nourishing cream that manages to feel rich without being heavy, and it absorbs straight away into the skin without leaving any residue. Paired with the night oil this feels like the ultimate pampering over-night treatment for the face and although i haven't been using them for all that long i have noticed an improvement in the hydration of my skin which gives it a plumper appearance.
All of these products are a treat to use but it is the Miracle Cleanser* (£34) that is the star of the show for me. I have actually been looking forward to cleansing since i received this and it has blown all of my other favourites out of the water! It contains Eucalyptus, Chamomile, Rosemary and Bergamot so smells amazing and it has a creamy but light texture. It comes with an antibacterial bamboo muslin cloth included to remove the product as it lifts off all make up and dirt from the skin effortlessly without feeling at all stripping. It leaves the skin feeling really nourished as with a balm cleanser, but without the oily feeling so if you are one of those people who doesn't enjoy the feeling of an oil/balm on the skin i would highly recommend giving this a try.
All of the products i have mentioned are available from the Aurelia website along with the rest of the range that i personally cant wait to try - I have my eye on the Eye Revitalising Duo and the Cell Revitalise Rose Mask! There are also some lovely gift ideas on there, perfect for Christmas for the special women in your life.
