American Sephora Haul!

I've been so excited to write this post! As a self confessed beauty junkie Sephora is pretty much like the promised land so when my dad took off on his travels to New York a couple of weeks a go i sent him off with a list as long as my arm of 'things i would like if you happen to pass a Sephora'! I gave him loads of
options because i didn't know if they would have everything in store and i like surprises, and i was definitely not disappointed with the bag of goodies that he returned home with!

You might have already seen a close up of the Laura Mercier Artist Palette on my Instagram. It's probably the most gorgeous palette i've ever set eyes on! Every colour is beautiful and wearable and the packaging is just ridiculously gorgeous! I will be writing a full review of this as soon as i've had a good play. Incidentally, in reviews of palettes do you prefer to see swatches along the arm so you can compare shades or photos of some looks that were created with the palette? Or both?! Please let me know in the comments.

The next thing i asked for was the infamous Tarte Amazonian Clay blush, and the shade my dad managed to pick up is Blissful which is something i have lusted after for as long as i can remember. I can't wait to give this a try and see if it really lives up to all the hype! In the pan the colour is stunning and reminds me a little of the ever popular Bobbi Brown Blush in Nectar.

I had to get something from the new Marc Jacobs line, if just for the packaging alone! The foundation was out because i would want to colour match it properly rather than guessing from online swatches, and as beautiful as the 7 shade palettes look, i've heard some mixed reviews and they are eye-wateringly expensive so i ended up plumping for a nail varnish. I had a good look online at the shade selection and i could have easily picked up three or four, but the one that stood out to me the most was fluorescent beige because its such a subtly unique shade. I can't wait to photograph this properly and show you because its really special and i havn't seen anything else like it.

Last up is the Josie Maran Argan Infinity Cream Intensive Creamy Oil. Anna listed the Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil as one of her must-buy products from America in this post and when i had a look at the range on the Sephora website this looked interesting. Everyone loves a good multipurpose product and i have just run out of my Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream so this seemed like a good alternative, i'll report back when i've given this a good road test (if Jim hasn't already used it all on his chapped lips!). I would love to know what you think of this if you are based in the US and have tried it - what is your favourite use for it?

What would be top of your Sephora shopping list?

    2. Absolutely!! There was one in the shopping centre a few miles from my house, I was too young to fully appreciate it, but loved it even then and was so sad when it closed, I still pine after it when I walk past what's now a sports shop!! :'( xxx

You've picked some utterly luscious products and I have (major) brand envy. I cannot wait to see your full reviews :)
The Laura Mercier palette makes me want to cry with delight! I reckon you should do arm swatches then a make up look or two as your make up is always beautiful. You can blend like no other!

  12. I love your haul. I was lucky enough to go on holiday to LA in October and spent a fortune in Sephora (so much so that I became a VIB in less than a week. Whoops). Like you Marc Jacobs, Josie Maran and Tarte Amazonian Blushes were at the top of my list.
Heres part one of my haul post if you are interested.
