Leighton Denny Less is More dupe for Dior Nail Glow

The Dior Glow range is designed to enhance 'what your momma gave you' without looking overly made up. The original launch included the rosy glow blush which adapted to flatter different skin tones and the lip balm which reacts to the lips moisture levels to give a fresh, natural looking colour and shine with the added benefit
of SPF 10. These two were soon followed by a lip gloss which was very similar to the balm but with a different texture on the lips, and the Dior Nail Glow which was said to give nails a french manicure effect by emphasising the pink of the nail and the white of the tip in just one coat.

When i heard about Nail Glow something immediately sprung to mind and that was Leighton Denny Less is More. This was the runner up nail product of choice for my wedding, only just pipped to the post by a DIY gellish manicure courtesy of my friend Kim who lent me the gellish kit. Its a pink-tinted clear nail varnish that it the equavilent to a 'your lips but better' lipstick. It makes your nails look as good as they possibly can while still looking natural.

I'm a massive fan of colour of the nails and i often wear it but i don't think there is anything more classy than a natural nail when it is well manicured. Unless you have an incredibly steady hand, achieving a neat french manicure can be pretty tricky which is why i love this quick fix. A couple of coats of Less is More gives a lovely shine and makes the nail beds appear pinker and the tips whiter. As with all Leighton Denny Varnishes it applies well and lasts a good few days before any chips appear

I tried the tester of the Nail Glow in Debenhams just to see how comparable the two products are and the only difference i noticed was the nail glow has a thicker consistency, not dissimilar to Seche Vite, but the overall effect was pretty much identical. The only other notable difference is price with the Nail Glow costing £18 and Less is More £11.

Do you like the natural nail look? Have you tried any other polish that gives this effect?

  1. A great dupe! I bought the Dior Lip Glow, and was thinking about getting the nail glow to match - but this sounds like a perfect alternative!

  3. I love natural nails. I use more clear nail polish than any other nail polish so I'm definitely going to look into getting this.

I bought Dior Nail Glow after seeing a few good reviews in magazines and blogs, however, for me it was a bit disappointing; it makes my nails a nice pinky colour but definitely doesn't make the white bits look any whiter, it just gives them a pinky tinge too. It is nice enough but for the price I was expecting something more... I think I'll give Leighton Denny a try instead.
