My first favourite from August might be slightly premature because i only got it half way through the month but it was pretty much love on first use! St Tropez Gradual Tan Firming* (£20) is said to tan, tone, firm and moisturise in one. I can't really say if i noticed any toning or firming action yet - i
don't think i have been using it for long enough to see any results on that front but i can say that this does tick two massive boxes for me. Firstly, and probably most importantly, the colour is spot on. I love how natural St Tropez look on my skin; they are a brand i always go back to for that reason. My favourite is the Gradual Tan Spray but it can be slightly drying - i overlook that for the ease of application but if you want that natural, buildable colour in a much more nourishing form then look this way because this is as effective as any regular body moisturiser i have tried.
You can probably tell from the picture that my next favourite has been well loved because there's hardly anything left! I took the Molton Brown Pink Pepperpod Bodywash (£18) away with me on holiday recently and absolutely loved using it. It smells spicy, exotic and very feminine; the perfect holiday scent! I just wish i had taken the body lotion with me too, to layer the fragrance so it would have lasted on my skin a bit longer - i will know for next time because i think this will be a regular holiday purchase for me from now on. In terms of formula it lathers up well and feels silky and moisturising on the skin
Another new body product that smells incredible is the Elemis Frangipani Monoi Body Cream (£24) I have loved the Frangipani Monoi oil for a long time so i had high hopes for this new launch from Elemis and i haven't been disappointed. As with the oil, this product is incredibly luxurious. It's silky and rich but not greasy. It contains Macadamia and Sesame oils which leave your skin feeling really nourished and hydrated for a good 24 hours after application. It has the same distinctive frangrance as the oil - of frangipani and tiare flowers, Tahitian monoi oil and coprah oil which, if you haven't smelled it, is a really unique, exotic, gorgeous scent.
As i mentioned we were in Portugal for some of August and as such the holiday lipstick came out! I struggle to pull off MAC Costa Chic (£15.50) at any other time than when i have quite a good tan going on. The coral shade can look a bit off on my paler complexion but against a tan its just gorgeous, and the frost finish, which would usually be a big no for me, paired with bronzed up skin and a brown smoky eye just seems to work!
On my nails throughout our holiday was Revlon Nail Enamel in 270 Cherries in the Snow (£6.49) which, despite what the name suggests, is a great summer shade! It's a sophisticated, red-toned pink which goes with everything and looks really nice against a tan. Revlon definitely know how to do it when it comes to nail varnish formula too.
